Shalini Kapoor is Math faculty in community college at Houston, TX. She has degrees in Mathematics and in Education. She is a dedicated educator with an unwavering passion for teaching. Her commitment to education extends beyond teaching-she serves on multiple scholarship committees, helping deserving candidates for their academic journeys. In her professional role, she worked as Director of Science Olympiad and she has been a judge for Science fair at University of Houston for the past five years.
Beyond the classroom activities, she is actively engaged with her community, making a meaningful impact through various volunteer initiatives. During covid, Shalini worked on a SEWA Intl. project with FEMA & University of A&M to reach out people to spread vaccine awareness, organizing food drives, and reaching out to homeless individuals ensuring they receive the support they need.
Shalini is currently the board member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America, Greater Houston chapter. She is also a core member of ‘Support A Child”, a project of VHPA. She is committed to the betterment of the community. Her work exemplifies the power of education, volunteerism, and leadership in creating a better society.
