The Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) believes that education grounded in cultural and ethical values is the foundation of a strong and self-confident community. To encourage and support the next generation of Hindu youth, VHPA launched its national scholarship program in 2022 with the Sharda Hindu Scholarship, recognizing academic excellence, community service, and commitment to Hindu Dharma.

Starting with just six awards in 2022, the Sharda Hindu Scholarship has grown more than twofold in five years—thanks to the generosity and open hearts of our sponsors. Their continued support has enabled VHPA to expand this important initiative and inspire many deserving students across the country.

Building on this success, VHPA proudly introduces the Nachiketa Hindu Scholarship, a means-based program supporting academically strong students who face financial challenges.

In 2025, VHPA also launched a mentorship program where scholarship recipients guide younger high school students on effective college admission strategies, strengthening the spirit of community learning and service.
